Course Overview:
Document control in the oil and gas sector is a governance and compliance function, not clerical filing. It underpins regulatory compliance, contract execution, audit readiness, asset integrity, and operational safety. In Nigeria, document control must align with operator requirements and the expectations of regulators such as Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), as well as international standards (ISO, API, OEM, and client-specific specifications).

Effective training must therefore be system-based, workflow-driven, and evidence-focused, ensuring participants can control documents across their full lifecycle from creation to archival—without creating audit gaps or contractual exposure.
